| We adopted Nova over a year ago from the Anna Shelter. A friend of mine saw her on the morning news and told me and my husband and I came up to look and she was the last one left of the litter. As I understand it, the pregnant mother was at another shelter and was up to be euthanized and the Anna Shelter went and got the mother and then she gave birth to a number of puppies. Nova is quite an active dog, she loves the water, she loves to run, and she loves to smell things. She is becoming a very good companion for my husband and I. Every day I check the Anna Shelter site and I am amazed at the number of animals that come into the shelter and leave the shelter into new homes. Thanks for everything the staff at the Anna Shelter does for the animals in your area. Becky Kelley - Tionesta, PA |

| Hey A.N.N.A. shelter staff! I'm sorry I couldn't attend this event, it sounds like it was a lot of fun. I am finally getting around to sending some pictures of Peyton the St. Bernard (who I think might be 1/2 Bernese Mountain Dog - if you look at her face there's definitely another breed in there somewhere). I adopted her in June & she is doing GREAT out here in the country. She has flourished on a diet of holistic dog food - she's gained about 20 pounds probably & is starting to look like a "real dog." Her coat is beautiful now. She's been trained on invisible fencing & loves spending time out in the yard with my other St. Bernard. They run & play all the time. Peyton has the sweetest personality. She absolutely ADORES my 2 cats - she will lie down in front of them & stare for hours. She is captivated by them & they put up with the staring pretty well. She is becoming accustomed to living in a home & having a roof over her head. She loves the wood-burning stove & I think she'll be spending a lot of time in front of it this winter. She's got access to miles of hiking trails & woods & she loves going for walks.
Thank you for bringing such a great dog into our lives. We love Peyton & she is truly a member of the family now. I'm so grateful to the A.N.N.A. shelter! Thanks again & take care!

| I just wanted to give you a quick up date on "Smokey". She is doing
wonderfully and enjoying her weekend spa get away. She works Monday thru
Friday round the clock keeping what ever doesn't belong in her world away,
sleeping on who ever desk as long as they are willing to pet her, and being
the best greeter around. On the week ends she enjoys coming home with me (we
call it her spa get away) and sleeping on the bed, window ledge, or where
ever she can. I am sure she will continue to be a valued employee for
many, many, many years to come. Thank you Anna Shelter for all you wonderful work.

| Hello, -About a month ago I adopted a cat from Petsmart that was from the ANNA shelter named Steve, so I just thought I'd let you know how he's doing. Ever since the moment he plopped into my arms at the store I knew he had to come home with me. He was so skinny when I took him home but now he's gained his weight back (he loves food!) and he is in great shape. He loves to play with everything whether it moves or not and he is great at catching any bugs that get into the house. His name is still Steve which he comes to if you call him, and he has brought much love and spilled cups of water in my home. Thanks for taking in this great cat so I could find him! Becky |

| Good afternoon. I'm just writing a quick note to let you know that Lady has settled in and is doing beautifully! She's everything we hoped for in a new dog and we're pleased to report that she seems to feel the same way about us. Thanks again for all your help and encouragement. Debra Goetz
Update: Sept 2009
Lady holding down her favorite square of carpet in front of the living room door. I think she likes it here, and except for a couple of bad moments, things are going well. Thanks again. |

| Hi everyone at the ANNA Shelter
I am emailing you to tell you how Tyson AKA Ty is doing. We adopted him 2 1/2 weeks ago from the shelter. When we brough thim home, he had some difficulties getting along with our cats, but he is doing a lot better with them now. We took him to the vet and it turns out he's 9!! I can't believe it, since every time we take him for a walk he puls harder and harder and wants to walk farther and father. We take him and our other boys for 3 mile walks everyday. Our most memorable walk we had though was the day Ty's owner saw us and pulled over. Her name was Amy and she jumped out of her car and ran over to us. She asked where we had gotten him from and explained the whole situation. Turns out she had put him in the paper free to a good home, and we called on him and said if no one calls you make sure to let us know and we will come and get him. She ended up giving him to someone else who didn't have a fenced in yard and he got out and kept running. She was very excited that we have him now, and she has even come over with her family to visit him. Ty is a wonderful dog and we love having him with us. Thank you again for letting us apodt him. I will send pictures soon of the whole family.
Sincerely Megan and Jamie Lord |

| Hello! Just wanted to send a note to tell you how well Cicada (now "Ernie") is doing! We adopted him nearly two weeks ago and he has very quickly adjusted to our home. We continue to be surprised that he was not been adopted before this! He is a gem. Purely by accident, we discovered that he had been taught various commands - a very intelligent dog ... but more importantly, he is extremely gentle with our daughter and continues to try to make friends with our three cats. He is perfect for us. Thank you for doing all that you do, and for giving shelter to dogs like our Ernie. We feel fortunate to have found each other! Pam, Buddy and Jordan (age 8) Urso |

| Hello Anna Staff, My name is Diana Antonacci and our family recently adopted "Precious" from your facility. She is doing well and gaining weight. She had her rabies, lyme and 2nd set of puppy boosters day before yesterday. She is very active and loves to play outside. We have 12 acres of land with a pond and she is now enjoying the freedom outside. She plays very well with our kids and sleeps with my 5 yr old. Thanks! |

| In August I came into your shelter to see if you had any Siamese kittens. I’ve owned Siamese cats my whole life and had just recently lost my two that were 19 years old. I was told there were 2 in a foster home and on August 19, 2009, I brought them home. My son named them Shyanne and Snowball. They are now 3 months old and they grew really fast! When we brought them home, they fit in the palm of my hand! And now…I gotta carry them with 2 hands! They are both very healthy and happy. The staff up at AnimalKingdomPetHospital has fallen in love with them as well. Every time we take them up for their shots; the techs take them to show everyone how much they’ve grown and how cute they are. They are very sweet and loving kitties. They are now the designated alarm clock that wakes my son up for school everyday. I open his bedroom door and they run in and pounce on him to wake him up. They’re very playful and very curious. They like our bathtub for some reason. They play in it when it’s empty and jump in even when it’s filled with water! (Self cleaning cats!) There is never a dull moment with Shyanne and Snowball. They have brought so much joy into our home after experiencing the loss of our beloved cats. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing them into our lives.
Thank you,
Ben, April and William Honeywell |
