Hi folks!
Well, it's been about 1 1/2 yrs. now since Mike and I travelled south of the border to your place, and adopted our Grizzly, the Great Pyrenees. He is now a huge part of the family, and is a pretty happy boy. And, he is a VERY good guard dog......nothing escapes his vigilance!
I took a pic this morning that I thought you might like to see. Do you think he's comfortable?
Yours,
Lynda Marshall (and Grizzly, Rescue Extraordinaire)

Dear ANNA Shelter,
About 7 weeks ago, my husband and I went to your adoption event at PetSmart. We adopted one of your lab/husky/pit bull mix puppies who was 8 weeks old at the time. We named him Harley because he's tough but very loving. Harley has been such a blessing for our family!
He is incredibly smart (potty and crate trained in two days, bell trained to go outside in one day, sit in three days)...he constantly impresses us with how smart he is. Sometimes we say he's too smart for his own good because he finds ways around us that we could not have anticipated! He is also very stubborn, taking after both his mom and dad in that way. He also recently started puppy kindergarten and is having lots of fun playing and learning with the other pups there.
He is now 15 weeks old, and already tipping the scales over 30lbs!! Yes, that weight is all height, very little meat on his bones! He is being fed Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul Large Breed. We bought him a large crate with a crate divider, but the divider is already past the midline! He'll be one big dog!!
His "grandparents" love him sooo much. His "great-grandpa" loves to babysit him all day...even all week once when we went to Disney. Harley loves his "great grandpa" and gets incredibly excited to see him and spend all day by his side. Harley and his 5-year old cat brother Shadow are getting used to each other. They will now sit next to each other on the couch. Shadow doesn't like it when Harley barks..he thinks its too loud, so we're working on that. They are starting to hang out together and we can't wait for the day that we find Shadow sleeping on Harley!! We are enjoying having Harley as a part of our lives and we love him with our whole hearts! We'd just like to express our gratitute to your shelter for giving us such a wonderful gift. We cannot imagine our lives without Harley...he has truly become a part of our family! Thank you ANNA Shelter!!
Sincerely, Megan, Mike, Harley, and Shadow

Hi A.N.N.A Staff!
This is a update from the former "Heinz 57". I was adopted on July 25th, 2009. My name is now Benji. But sometimes my mom likes to call me Ben. I am in Texas now. It sure is hotter than Pennsylvania, that's for sure. I am doing well adjusting. My dad is in the Amy, and I am an official Army dog now. I love it. I love to play with my toys, especially my squeeky ball. My mom got me the best thing ever, it is my Kong. She fills it will some yummy Peanut Butter stuff and then a Peanut Butter cracker. It is sooo my favorite. My mom just taught me to retrieve my ball. She is trying to get me to shake my paw, but it confuses me. Thank you for taking good care of me until my new mom came to get me. I love my new family, and they love me!

Hi - Just wanted the thank you for allowing us to adopt Helen & Hercy. We have enjoyed every minute so far with these 2 loveable pets. They have a few issues that we are working on but they are more than willing to please. We have had many good laughs at their antics. They are quick at learning our household routine. As you can see from the pic they have made themselves right at home. Thanks again. We will keep you updated.

Hello everyone at A.N.N.A shelter!! its been over a year now since my fiance and I adopted a Chihuahua-Terrier Mix named Jake. We changed his name to Murphy and have been loving him since the day we got him! At first he was shy and didn't know how to act. He wouldn't play with us, play with toys, or chew on bones. After a few months of persistance, however, my fiance got him to play and he loves his platypus squeaker toy! Hes got his own personality and is a little fireball! The few times we left him alone, he would cry for us! So now he goes everywhere with us and even sleeps at the foot of our bed! He loves his mommy and daddy and jumps up and down when we return home! We love our "little boy" and thank you for the opportunity to adopt a great pet like him! God bless you and all you do for dogs like him! your all god sends!,

Hi Ruth, I really should be in bed, not playing with the most beautiful family of kitties I think I've ever seen!
Beautiful to look at, as well as their personalities. Each kitten has such a different Siamese trait, even Mom.
They are doing great. Karen |

First of all, thank you so much for rescuing us and bringing us back to health. You will be happy to know that we are getting bigger and stronger every day. Jack took us to the vet again last week for the feline leukemia test and it was negative. J We are both filling out nicely since we have lots to eat. Jack and Fred are very nice to us although we do get disciplined for jumping on the table and the kitchen counter. We have 2 beds and 2 couches (among many places) where we can sleep and a playground in the basement with a whole lot of toys. Our favorites are pipe cleaners and the rings that come off of milk jugs. We love to sleep by the back door after we eat our supper. We really love our new home and we are finding that Jack and Fred love us as much as we love them - Sadie and Sammy |

Hi There!
We adopted Leyna (lay-nuh) from the A.N.N.A. Shelter on June 23, 2008. She was then called Diamond, and was estimated to be about three months. In Old German, Leyna means 'Little Angel', and she really is our little angel! Leyna is a very friendly and energetic pup! She has a multitude of doggy friends and continues to make more every time she visits one of the local puppy parks. She tends to startle new acquaintances, because immediately after she sniffs a dog's face, she gives them a big kiss! Some of Leyna's favorite activities include running, playing tug, eating, sleeping and cuddling, playing 'fort' with our comforter and pillows, rolling around, observing the outside from windows, hiding all her toys and bones, ripping stuffing out of toys, going for walks and jogs, meeting new people and dogs, rough-housing with her doggy friends, swimming, and so much more! She almost never runs completely out of energy, and even when she's exhausted, she manages to find enough energy left to antagonize her friends in to playing more! Some of Leyna's favorite foods include lettuce, pretzels, and soft canine pizza/cheese treats. She is mostly very well behaved and loves learning and showing off her tricks! She can be a handful, but we just can't imagine out lives without her now!
Thank you A.N.N.A Shelter & Staff for everything you do! We never would have found the missing piece in our family without your help!
Sincerely, Cory Fogleboch and Sarah Sparrow
