Spring 2011 II

To the wonderful staff at the ANNA Shelter,

Hi it's me, Riley (you knew me as Whitney when I stayed with you). I wanted to thank all of you for taking such great care of me until my new Mom & Dad came to take me home. I LOVE my new home! I had a few rough days at first. My Mom & Dad put me in a kennel the first night they went to work and I DID NOT like it so I took it apart. Now I am allowed in the kitchen when they leave. No more cage! I have learned to sit, lay down and walk on a leash. The potty training is going ok (I guess). I still have an accident every now and then, but Mom & Dad don't get too upset. They just take me outside and give me a yummy treat when I go in the grass. I have 3 cats to play with (well they're kinda warming up to me), I play and they run away. They even went and got me a new brother, Max. He is little and I like to push him around and take all of the toys. Mom & Dad keep saying I should enjoy it while it lasts. They say he's a Rott (whatever that means??) Oh well I love my new family and plan on having a VERY long and happy life here. I'm sending pictures of me and Max in our back yard enjoying the sunshine. Again thank you from the bottom of my big puppy heart.

Love, Riley

Dear anna shelter:

It’s coming up on our one year anniversary and we wanted to thank you again for bringing us together. we’ve been talking about looking for a sister, so you might be seeing us soon.

Best,

Deena and bruno

Hi!  Wanted to update you on how the boys are doing.....they are growing amazingly fast.  They are sooooooo full of energy.  They could not be any sweeter or more loved.  They are spoiled rotten.  As you can see by the photos - Romeo is not a "runt" anymore....they both are thriving.  Thanks for allowing them to join our family.

Hi, My name is Annie.
I was adopted spring 2010 when the shelter was having a puppy boom. I was actually load on a truck getting ready to go to pet smart when my family spotted me.  We had my D&A run to find out I am a border collie husky mix. I have lots of energy and love to run.
For fun I am learning to herd sheep. Last week I past my first two trials to be certified a herder...not bad for only being a year old.
The goofball in the picture with me is Newman. He was adopted spring of 2009. When he was at the ANNA shelter they called he Laddy. He lives next door.. we have a lot of fun playing together.
We have not figured out what he is good for other than being a big old goofball. Some times we go tracking and he does a really good job at that.
I just wanted to thank all the caring people at the ANNA shelter for being there for me and Newman.

Hi! Raine gets along great with all the cats in my house. She immediately made herself at home and sleeps on my bed every night. Everyone in my family loves her. She is afraid of my dog but they stay away from each other. She is perfectly healthy and loves her new home! There is a picture attached.
