Hi Everyone,
Just a note to update you on Apollo, whose new name is Chance. He fit into our lives as comfortable as an old shoe. Turns out he is houstrained. Has learned to shake, lay down, sit, and working on stay, and doing well. Almost crate trained. Has not been off leash yet, but getting electric fence connected tomorrow, so soon will have the run of about 1/2 acre, including woods, where he loves to pick up trails of who knows what! Doesn't jump so much anymore, and still loves to lick. Have not introduced him yet to my horses, as I want to give him time to settle in, but so far he is enjoying life! Will start working on scent training as soon as he can be off leash. Thanks for the good work you do every day, and thanks for Chance! Bonnie Staszak

Hi guys,
My husband and I adopted a kitten from you at Petsmart on April 30, and I just wanted to let you guys know that she is definitely enjoying her time here with us. She has claimed the home (and the people in it) as her home. She makes us laugh all the time with her antics and loves to cuddle and purr. I attached a picture for you :-) Hope this makes your day.
Thanks,
Lindsey (and Mike) Richards

Hi everyone!! I meant to send this email out sooner but have been so busy! On November 27th, I adopted a kitten from your shelter. I wanted to send some photos your way! I named her Penny. She is ridiculously happy and playful. Thank you for letting me adopt her!

Hello from two prior residents from the ANNA Shelter, Murphy & Tootsie. Murphy, the spaniel, came to us almost five years ago as a puppy and brought us such joy We adopted Tootsie, the daschund, last December and she has melted our hearts and fit right in from the get go. We've thought about adding another daschund and wondered if you could let us know if and when you get another stray daschund? Or if you could send me the name of the gentleman who came to the ANNA shelter when we were there to adopt Tootsie that was known to the staff as a person who rescued doxies? Just in case he might come across any who might need a home.
Thanks for all you do,
Dee Dee Grill

I just wanted to update you on MANDY.
She was one of the 7 chocolate lab/terrier mixes that you had shown at PetSmart back in April.
We adopted her on 4/16/11. She has more than doubled in size since we've brought her home. Our girls just love her. They are aged 7 & 5, and they like to argue over who gets to hold her leash when we take her for walks. I will attach some pics of her, from adoption day, and yesterday, so you can see the size difference with how much she has grown.
Timing on her adoption couldn't have come at a better time. We had a 12 yr old "good old boy", Buddy. Whom we just lost back on May 25th. He had seen that we brought Mandy into the family, so that he could make his peaceful transition over the rainbow bridge. She helped to buffer alot of the family sadness. And has been a great addition to our family.
We couldn't have asked for a better puppy. She is starting to understand the meaning of a good belly rubbing. But, she still thinks that we are trying to play with her, and she trys to gnaw on whomevers hand is trying to rub & scratch her. That is just her being a teething puppy, I guess. She is doing so great!
I am going to try to attach a picture from when we 1st got her on 4/16/11, and from yesterday 6/17/11.
Thank you so much!
The Bittner Family. (Jim, Tracey, Virginia & Leah...oh, and lets not forget Mandy!)

I just wanted to write this email to tell you how absolutely thankful my sister & I are that we decided to visit the ANNA Shelter last week. We are the ones that adopted Maddie. We have been looking to get a dog for quite some time now, and decided rescuing one from a shelter would be the best thing for us to do. Upon arriving at the ANNA Shelter, we were greeted by some of the most friendly, knowledgeable people we've ever come across. Any questions we had about any of the dogs we looked it were answered quickly. We could tell that the staff there truly cared about the animals and finding them a good home.
At first, we didn't even look at Maddie's cage because she was so timid. We decided to go back because of our preference for labs (we've had them all our lives), and we are SO glad we did. While she was timid at first, she's warmed up to us very quickly. She's such a cuddler and she loves attention now. We've even had guests to our home, and while she's protective and hesitant at first, it didn't take her long to be sitting by their sides wanting to be petted. She's brought such joy to our home!
We just wanted to thank you again for all of your help! Rest assured that Maddie is in a good home, where she gets LOTS of love!
Sincerely,
Lindsay Metz

We wanted to let you know that Kilo is enjoiy his new life. Today he became very vocal--barking with excitment and playing in our back yard. We enjoy walking him and Lady in the morning, then Zoe and him after dinner. If is so nice to see the change in Lady with Kilo since they walk side-by-side. Lady is doing much better than I thought.
Kilo loves his dog food--he gets dry and wet canned. Riding in the car with Zoe and Lady i a big treat for him. We love him and he sure loves us back. Before long he won't be a skinny dog.
Thank you for allowing us to adopt Kilo.

Hi folks,
I just wanted to add to your Happy Tails!
I was in on May 9th, in the hopes of giving 2 cats a great home. There was a kitten that just (literally) grabbed my attention. He was a tiny black/white kitten and would reach out through his cage and grab anyone that walked by. He (now known as Guyzer) was being treated for an infection at that time, but nevertheless, still a spunky guy! I wanted to give 2 adults a home, as everyone loves kittens, but I knew he would do well in my home, since I have several German Shepherd Dogs.
I wanted to bring 2 home, so I continued to look. That's when I spotted Callie (now known as Tallie). Several of the people at the Shelter took time to speak with me, walk with me, pull files and give me as much info as they could, to ensure a permanent placement.
I had to go home and ready my house for cats once again and returned the next morning and waited for the Shelter to open.
It has been a perfect match. Tallie (2 year old) keeps everyone in line and lounges like the little queen she is and Guyzer has become my pup's best friend. They run and romp in the yard, tackle each other and are nearly inseparable! He thinks he's a dog!
Thank you so much A.N.N.A. Shelter. When I get out of this city, you can be sure I'll come there to give more cats and perhaps a couple of dogs a great home! It was a good experience with knowledgable and patient people!
Regards,
Sharon Dickerson

Hi Michelle and everyone at the A.N.N.A Shelter,
I just wanted to thank you so much for letting us adopt Fudgie from you. We did change his name to Stanley...and he has just been wonderful. Stanley is a funny well behaved little puppy and he has adjusted so well. In the three weeks we have had him he has learned to sit, lay down and to roll over...Stanley is a very smart little guy. We had him at the vet and he got a clean bill of health and will be getting fixed on the 6th of August. Stanley has been a great addition to our family and is loved beyond belief. Thank you so much again for letting us have him and I will send some pictures soon.
Love,
The Frascella Family
